• Donald Trump Jr on Wednesday compared himself to Hunter Biden during a Fox News segment — claiming that the younger Biden has an easier time than him making money from his family.
• "I wish my name was Hunter Biden. I could go abroad, make millions off of my father's presidency, I'd be a really rich guy!" the vice president of the Trump Organization told host Sean Hannity.
• Trump Jr then repeated his father's unsubstantiated claim that Hunter Biden took a $1.5 billion gift offering from China while Joe Biden was vice president.
• Trump Jr has obviously benefitted from his father's presidency. In one case he got $50,000 for a 15-minute speech at the University of Florida. He also works for his father's business.
• Allies of the president are seeking to divert attention from impeachment proceedings into claims that Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden in exchange for aid money.
